Bodice Style 1 |
The Tutu Bodice
Bodice Style 1 is a 8-10 piece bodice attached to a basque.Bodice Style 2 is a 12 piece bodice attached directly to the tutu pant. These two styles are the most popular. Other styles of bodices are available on request.
Bodice Style 2 |
A few of the bodice panels are cut on the cross, this facilitates some stretch in the bodice as well as providing a good fit when pulled firm. Hooks and bars are used for the back closure.
Fabrics such as dupion silk, shantungs, brocades, Japanese satins are just a few of the types of fabrics that can be used.
Pants and tulle layers |
The Tutu Base
8-10 layers of Italian tulle are gathered and attached to a lined pant. A hoop is inserted, which maintains the shape of the skirt and minimises the net bounce. The net layers are then hand tacked together. The top layer can be pleated if requested.
